Ughh, well I'm back from the states, with a bunch of pics that will take a while to upload, and comment, and whatever so I'll do that when I'm not feeling like I have a turtle up my nose. Good to be back. Thanks for the surprisingly time-consuming letter Jelz, and for the refreshingly heartfelt video Julie (as much as I had trouble getting to view it). Haha, much appreciated<3. Also to anyone else in Australia that gave me more of a reason to want to come back, haha. Yeah. But yeahnah, I had fun :D

NEW BANNERRZZZ. Lots of inside jokes, mainly referring to one person who will understand all of those, except the puzzle piece one - that was just stolen off an album cover that inspired me to even do that craptacular show of a banner.

Anyway, few things happened in the past week or so, bowling with Lenny and Jeaneline, where I won all 3 games. Although by not much. Haha, Wii Bowling skills ftw.

Also hung out with the Joobster couple Fridays ago. Always fun. We met up at Parra, and eventually made our way to the city. It was freaking hot in the tin can of a train. The aircon was on but it seriously just circulated the hot air. Eventually got there and went to CEO to sing K. Hehe fun times, that went for a couple hours. Lots of stuff happened, then rode the monorail to Darling Harbour for a visit to the museum we've all been to a thousand times. As much as we've been there, we still don't know a thing about the Navy, apart from the fact that boats can be made out of beer cans. Buoyancy is not an issue here. Afterwards we watched Role Models. HAHA. Hilarious movie is hilarious. But still maybe a 7/10.

Went over her (new) house last Wednesday, watched a couple movies, mucked around etcetc. I don't know how 10 hours went by like that. I want her piano. lol. I want A piano.

Anywayyy, its like 30 degrees over here... so spent yesterday at Royal Botanic Gardens for a picnic (with Glorz, Jaz, Lenz and I).

Went swimming with high school friends after that, and played some Virtua Tennis on the PS3, haha. I came second. Dumb Jonno and his winners benefits. LOl.

Anyway, Jiayings 19th Bday Bash tonight (HAPPY BDAY), and America in 2 days! :)

I don't know whats more frightening, the immersed expression on the girls face playing the Atari; the boys amazing Beatles haircut or the fact that the old man has successfully lured these kids to his home so he can receive some buttsecks at the same time.

Kids and their Curiosity.

14 days till Hawaii/California.

Forgot what day it was now, but went 'shopping' with Lenny and Shirley the other day last week, and during this time while Lenny and I were sitting down waiting for Shirley to come back, a random kid (from NZ) came up to us and kept eyeballing the glowstick necklace we won from Galaxy World. He literally was standing 1m in front of us and just staring at it. We exchange our greetings and told him if he wanted it, he had to ask his dad first, so he did, and grabbed it from us.

Later when Shirley came back, she ate some of her Starburst lollies in its bright yellow packaging, and the kid comes back and asks "What's that yellow thing?" (pointing to the Starburst packet). We told him it was lollies and, at the expense of sounding like pedo's, asked if he wanted some. His dad immediately said no, because he was coming off a bit greedy. We then hurried off... :\

Last Friday we also managed to drag Gloria all the way out to the west, Jasmine's house to be exact, and go bike riding with us. LOL. Quite a bad experience for her I guess, because it was blistering hot, and on the way back from the shops her bike chain came out of its place and Lenny and I were too far ahead to notice her little mishap. Lucky Jasmine was there to walk with her back.

Prior to that, Jasmine made some carbonara which was tasty so thanks!

Christian, Jeaneline and Lenny came over last Sunday just out of boredom. Since it was promised a while ago, Jeaneline baked a cake and brought it over. We played Wii (which was hilarious) and Xbox, and a bit of basketball, and also took Brownie for a walk to the nearby park.



The cake is NOT a lie.




Headbands? On a guy dog? Really?

That was also tasty. Lenny also ate some of Brownie's Schmacko's as seen below:

Caught up with the Jellz0r yesterday. Sang K for a couple hours, managed to get scores of 100 even when we weren't singing some of the verses to some songs. Then just walked around. Went to Market City and sat at the food court so I could get my 'souvenir' from China. Man, was I in for a surprise or what.





But yeah, thanks for that. lol. I walked around the Market City food court wearing them and got some weird looks thrown my way, but oh well. All for kicks.

My Top 8 Album Covers

I'm bored so this is just something I feel like blogging about. I'm aware I don't have the usual top album cover veterans like Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon, or Nirvana's 'Nevermind' album, while they are iconic, I've chosen mine based on other aspects (described) interpreted by me. So if the meaning behind an album cover is wrong, carefactor = zero.
8. Thousand Foot Krutch - The Art of Breaking

Just as the album title says, and in the cover, the girl's reaching into an unknown reality. The Art of Breaking ? Conformity? Bad Habits? Burdens? Tension? ... Faces?

Its ambiguous and I RIKE it.







7. E for Explosion - Reinventing the Heartbeat

Up here for colour scheme and pure amazingness. Similar to my number one spot, but doesn't quite get there.









6. Eudora - The Silent Years

Melodic punk act Eudora with this. Who even knows why shes wearing a gas mask, but I like it anyway (I'm just being lazy, I tried to look it up but can't find anything).









5. Mae - Singularity

Everything that exists out there gives us a reason to question - there's so much more for us to learn and understand. I suppose that's where this band got the 'Singularity' reference from. Even if it does look like a scribble, what it means to anyone could be however they see it in relation to their own lives. Corruption? Heartbreak? Uncontrollable-ness? Rebellion? ... g0t rage?

Singularity simplicity.


4. The Fold - This Too Shall Pass

The album name is a phrase associated with some story about a ring (no, not LOTR -.-), so that's where the band got their album name from. This cover, I had trouble choosing between this, and Anberlin's 'New Surrender' cover. Both atmospheric in a sense, and Anberlin's title seems more meaningful and easier to dissect, but just the tone of colours in this captured my attention more. It has a hint of bland, but not enough to make this album seem like a bore-fest.


3. The Starting Line - Direction

I'm an instant fan of the picture alone, and having it rotated 90 degrees to coincide with the album title? Semi-genius. Awesome bright yellow arrow too, just to make it less subtle.

But seriously, I love it, its refreshing to see something (orientation) different done to an untouched picture.

Awesome album too.


2. Brand New - Deja Entendu

Never would I have guessed where this came from. Much like how Déjà Vu translates to 'already seen', Déjà Entendu means 'already heard'. And its a take on modern rock. Same stuff being juiced out eh? Whatever, if a floating baby in water can get famous, then a floating astronaut gets my vote.






1. Mae - Destination: Beautiful

Mae gets another spot in my list, this time number 1! The colours, the name of the album, the text, the music, the bird silhouettes, I love it all.

Well, OLD Mae is what I love, not this 'Singularity' trash (still, good cover). Their music is perfect for springtime, and its just where I'd wanna be sometimes aye.
