Live Long and Prosper \\\///

Ok so the Star Trek "live long and prosper" sign looks like crap in the title...

Last Friday 080509 was Kay's 19th. Started at me going to Uni with Lenny and Jasmine so I could finish off some lab work before heading off. Anyway, Lenny left around 4.30, and I had time to kill til 6. So I went to sleep in front of these 2 curry dudes who were having an engaging conversation, each time I woke up they would look over to me.. with this.. creepy ass look. So whatever.

6pm met up with Thien and Wendy + Co. Then headed off to Dome Bar/Lounge. GREAAT NIGHT. Regardless of the price of drinks, I had much fun. Too bad I didn't go to Havana, heard it was packed anyway.

Mmm

Mothers Day weekend. Didn't do much cept work on Jismane's present and have Yumcha at Blacktown. We got there at 11.20 or something, and had we arrived 10 minutes later, we would've been waiting in a long ass line. It was nuts. But we got there and it was packed in minutes. The food took forever coming around. We also ordered peking duck and san choy bow. Yummoo.

Wednesday - 130509
Jasmine's Uni Birthday Bash. The theme was ties and only Lenny, Tim and I wore one. Disappointing! Anyway, we headed to Newtown to go have Thai. $6! So cheap!! Asians..cheap.. etcetc. We were waiting on the train to go back to the city, and so we decided to play hackysack on the train platforms, I knew the inevitable would come, but for the sake of having fun, I took it out and we played. Few kicks later, Lenny kicks it, Tim misses it lol (well not really, but yeah) and it goes onto the tracks. Good thing I have 3 more. So I can safely say i can still practice juggling.

After that we headed back to the city to watch Star Trek. omg. For someone who has never seen a show of it, I enjoyed it a lot (you don't even need to have any prior knowledge of Star Trek). J.J. Abrams is the new Spielberg or something, or slowly becoming. Creatively mindblowing.

Trained it home afterwards, so Jesmani can "shave" on her room. HAHA.

EDIT: Compiling my list of wants.

I Won't Wait for Something Else

Meditation is defined as a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the reflexive, "thinking" mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness. Secular meditation promotes physical and mental well being. That's a truckload of relaxation and a tad overdose of peace-juice.

Last night I undertook (well tried to) a meditation session. Not any fancy one, I just downloaded some podcast, that was aptly named "The Meditation Podcast". There were 12 or so episodes/topics of meditation to choose from. Previously I had already listened to "Releasing Fear" and "Addiction". I'm not even sure if they worked, although I doubt I would be lying in a bed of bugs anytime soon. I decided I would give another one a go, and so I proceeded to download "Positive Thinking". It sounded general enough to apply to my life.

First mistake I did (and did when listening to the previous ones) was listening to these in bed, right before I decide to go to sleep. I guess if you don't plan on falling asleep to these hippy tapes, then listen to these when you're on a bed of nails.

Anyway, I pressed play on my iPod and immediately I hear the soothing voice of a dude who tells me to download more of their podcasts. Um okay. Get to the freakin' point already. 3 minutes of advertising later.. I'm told to "let everything go, and relax". I'm told this about 5 times in 5 different ways, so I thought okay, I'm relaxed. I just felt a sensation of euphoria as he continued to blabber on. There was birds singing in the background to his voice.

At random times, he would pause for about a minute and I would just hear the birds singing. By this point ... lets do some maths, birds singing + eyes closed + lying in bed = recipe for fail. I dozed off to SleepCity (Sleep City here we comeeeee).

If there's one thing I've learnt, its that I don't think I will ever be awake or free enough to be able to sit through the whole 20 minutes.

The only way I'm relaxed is with You.

Sunny Days Sweeping the Clouds Away

Bro's graduation was last Friday, congrats to him, same as Julies bday, happy bday to her, same as Jasmine's fail study session, thumbsup to her also. lol. I will one day be wearing those graduation gowns. Frightening to know that that event signifies the end of your undergraduate studies, only to be thrown out to the wolves.

Afterwards, had dinner with family + Carlo + Fran + Michelle at a Chinese restaurant in the city. Traffic was horrible, it was planned at Fox Studios but then due to traffic, had to settle for that place. Afterwards, parentals drove home with Michelle, and my bro and I headed to Star Bar. Met up with Wendy and Bec, then with Maria + Kathy + VSA people. lol. Funny bunch, is all I can say.

Then Library + Workers Club with Lenny yday. Which leads me to the topic of um.. octopus? No thanks. That stuff reeks of crap. Maybe if someone molded and shaped the octopus to look like a drumstick.. then I would be fooled into trying it.

I'm lazy and too much on my mind. So I'm gna end it there. Okay.

Creating the indecisive reality often leads to frustration. It's not quite indecisiveness, but more so you don't want one opportunity to go to waste.

PS. BBQ Bacon Rollers from KFC are the best things ever.
