Anyway, I've been looking at upgrading my current computer. I looked online and it appears that most people upgrade within 2-3 years. Criteria depends, but most do it for games, application workload, speed etc. How bout all of the above? Originally I wanted a new video card, as my current one seems to be turning to crap - as if its starting to overheat. But then if I upgrade that, everything else needs to be upgraded. Newer, faster, quicker response time needed, therefore new CPU, therefore.. new motherboard, therefore, new power supply, therefore, new case. My current recommended wishlist:

Mid-Range Multi-purpose Build:

CPU: Intel Core i5 750 $268

RAM: G.Skill 4GB DDR3-1333 $109 (maybe DDR2)

Hopefully it'll last 5 years. And if that's "Mid-Range".. then what the hells mine? Super Low-range?

The place where I got my current computer has prices that exceed those prices by $100 for some. Pricey! MSY ftw.

But seriously, running the system idle, with no applications eats over 50% of my RAM already, and the geek inside me wants to try Modern Warfare 2 on something that looks decent. Early Christmas? :(
